Samson Slim Minnow – Surface/Sub, Sinking Lure
The Slim Minnow is a long-casting surface lure designed to perfectly mimic a fleeing needlefish. Built for versatility, it excels in calmer to medium seas, offering a more subtle presentation compared to other lures in the Samson range.
This lure can be worked in multiple ways — simply retrieve it across the surface at medium to fast speeds for a smooth swimming action, or use your rod tip to create an erratic, darting motion to entice predatory fish. The retrieval style can be adjusted by holding your rod tip up or down, depending on the situation and target species.
A proven favorite among Australian land-based anglers, the Slim Minnow has a strong track record of landing Longtail Tuna in impressive numbers. Its effectiveness isn’t limited to the surface — it also performs exceptionally well in deeper waters when dropped down and retrieved back to the top.
