At the base of the system is a water reservoir tray that stores water beneath the growing cells. Above this sits an injection moulded support platform, which holds the growing tray slightly elevated. A layer of capillary matting sits between the platform and the tray, drawing water upwards from the reservoir. As the compost begins to dry, the capillary matting delivers moisture directly to the roots, helping prevent both overwatering and underwatering.

A clear propagator cover traps warmth and humidity, creating an ideal environment for seed germination and early seedling growth. This makes the kit perfect for use on a bright windowsill, in a greenhouse, or inside a polytunnel.
